Updated Rabies Vaccine Policy

Rabies is on the rise in North Carolina wildlife!  Rabies is also a fatal disease that can be transmitted to your pets and family members, but it is a preventable disease.
For the protection of your pet, your family, and our team, as of October 1, 2016, Alamance Veterinary Hospital will require all patients to have a current Rabies vaccine.
If we did not administer the vaccine, we will require proof in the form of a Rabies Certificate from a Licensed Veterinarian in order to treat your pet.  If proof cannot be provided/obtained, your pet will be administered a Rabies vaccine before any services can be performed.
*Please note a Rabies tag will not be considered proof of vaccination.
Thank you for your help in protecting our patients, our clients, and our team members!
