dr. burbridge Amo Burbridge, DVM
Dr. Amo B. Burbridge is the senior partner at Alamance Veterinary Hospital and has been part of the practice since 1998; the year of her graduation from the North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Burbridge graduated in the top 10% of her veterinary school class and received the Dermatology Student of the Year Award in 1998. Her undergraduate degree is from Elon College (now Elon University). Although she is a skilled surgeon and diagnostician that enjoys seeing patients from cats and dogs to exotics and pocket pets, the most unique talent she brings to the team is her ultrasound skills. She has nine years of ultrasound experience and every year she attends professional conferences to gain even more expertise in this very useful diagnostic technique. Dr. Burbridge lives in Burlington with her husband, an Elon University professor, their two beautiful children, and their cat “Greenhead.”
dr. small Sherri Small, DVM
Dr. Sherri Small has been part of Alamance Veterinary Hospital since 2001, joining as a partner in 2002. She received an Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, finished her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at East Carolina University and then went on to earn a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from NC State University. Although Dr. Small has a compassion for all animals, felines hold a special place in her heart. She enjoys educating clients on preventive care for cats as well as on the challenges associated with treating feline diseases. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and four “kids”: her dog “Belle”, and cats “Maggie”, “Mari”, and “Murphy”.
dr. reeves Amy Reeves, DVM
Dr. Amy Reeves grew up in the mountains outside of Asheville, NC. She attended NC State University, earning a degree in Animal Science in 2000 and graduating from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Since graduation, she has been bringing a unique combination of heart and talent as an associate Veterinarian at Alamance Veterinary Hospital. She enjoys soft tissue surgery as well as the problem solving required in the diagnostics of internal medicine cases. She enjoys spending her spare time with her husband and the pets, “Lucy” and “Parker”.
